   Brownie and Guide PGL weekend

We have had a very successful weekend at PGL Liddington. 16 Brownies, 11 Guides, 2 Young Leaders, and 5 adults all went to Liddington and did a variety of adventurous activities such as giant swing, climbing, zip wire, fencing, low ropes and Jacobs ladder. We also had two Brownies and two Guides make their promise whilst away, a very special treat for them!

Armed Forces day parade

On Saturday 25th June, the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides joined in with the Armed Forces day parade through the village to the School. Starting in the Market Place they walked neatly up to the school and listened to the speeches being made where several people praised those that were on parade for looking fantastic and behaving beautifully. We then had the Guiding and Scouting stall on the back playing field with the side shows and photographs of Rainbows, Brownies and Guides. A big thank you to all of those who took apart, especially the girls who helped pitch and strike the tents.

Guide Summer Camp
This years summer camp was an "I'm a Girl Guide get me out of here" themed camp! 8 Guides enjoyed searching for stars in jelly, custard, rice krispies and cold spaghetti using their feet; popping water balloons to find stars; eating strange foods and hunting for celebrity chests. On the Thursday we were joined by 4 Brownies who went with the Guides for a walk in the woods and joined in with a campfire at night before staying the night in their own tent and then cooking breakfast the next morning.
